FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – MEDIA RELEASE
Lee Kernaghan is pleased to announce a special one-off performance of his Pubs, Clubs and Carparks Tour will be held in Emerald on Friday 28th October at the Emerald Showgrounds.
Lee Kernaghan has sold almost 2 million albums, won 28 Golden Guitars and three ARIA Awards, and had 30 number one hits and ten hit albums.
According to Emerald promoter James Dein: “Lee will be performing many of the tracks from his new double album, Ultimate Hits, which features 42 chart favourites. He’ll appear with full band, lighting and big sound production, and will be supported by 2 more Australian country music stars - Tania Kernaghan and Markus Meier. Lee has enjoyed this year’s Pubs Clubs and Carparks tour because it has given him the opportunity to play venues that he usually does not play’’.
Dein continued: “Lee’s Emerald Concert on October 28th, marks the end of a very special week for Lee. The Ride for Rural Kids - a 7-day bike ride from Toowoomba to Roma and back through Central Queensland, is finishing in Emerald on Friday, Oct. 28. The bike ride, organised by Ruralco - CRT, is in aid of Herds of Hope, a charity that supports Ronald McDonald House by donating 100% of all funds received”.
Lee said “last year’s inaugural Ride For Rural Kids was a fantastic event held in Central NSW. This year’s ride looks set to be bigger and raise more funds than last year thanks to the huge effort put in by my mates at CRT Ruralco”.
“I am personally looking forward to visiting the towns and communities that were hit so hard by the floods on this trip. I will be visiting schools every day and meeting up with people in local pubs along the way. I will be taking my guitar along and singing a few tunes for the locals in each town.”
Cameron Beamish from Ruralco - CRT Head Office said “Lee represents the spirit and values of contemporary rural Australia. His love of the Australian way of life features prominently in his music, and he is a passionate supporter of Australia's rural culture.”
Lee Kernaghan has earned his place as one of Australia's leading contemporary music artists. He has dominated the charts with a chain of successive hit albums, including Outback Club, Three Chain Road, 1959, Hat Town, Electric Rodeo, The New Bush and Planet Country. Lee has made a huge impact on country music in Australia, creating a new musical landscape.
Lee’s concert will take place at the Emerald Showgrounds on Friday 28th October at 5pm.
It is an all ages concert. A part of every ticket sold will be donated back to the Ride For Rural Kids.
Tickets are now on sale from NewsXpress at the Emerald Village Shopping Centre – Hospital Road (Woolworths).
