Daryl Braithwaite’s concerts at The Reef Hotel Casino are always highly anticipated and his return to the Far North this February is guaranteed to pack-out the house! With The Reef Hotel Casino theming their summer celebrations as One Summer, there was no better entertainer than to help promote the sunshine than the composer of the classic 1980s hit One Summer, the one and only Daryl Braithwaite.
As easily one of the best voices in the Australian music industry today, Braithwaite has a bevy of hits ranging from his 1970s rein as King of Pop in the satin clad sensations ‘Sherbet’ to the strong body of his solo work ranging from his 1980’s Number One album ‘Edge’ to his early 1990’s release which spurned the Australian Music Award 1991 ‘Australian Song of the Year’ Number One single ‘The Horses’. His music embodies the spirit of Oz, and with hits like ‘One Summer’, ‘As the Days Go By’, ‘Rise’ and ‘Sugar Train’ to name a few, his impassioned vocals have provided a soundtrack to the seasons and times Queenslanders, so his appearance to celebrate summer is certainly well placed.
Daryl’s return to Far North Queensland is guaranteed to bring back massive crowds. And this show promises to be no different. With his biggest solo hits, tracks from his most recent solo release ‘Snapshot’ (from 2005) and the odd Sherbet classic, Braithwaite’s performance is tight and sharp, and guaranteed to have the audience singing along.
