FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – MEDIA RELEASE

The 2013 Kinross Christmas Party brings a classic Aussie line-up to Kinross Woolshed this December. With a bill that features Jimmy Barnes and special guests Ian Moss, Richard Clapton and Mahalia Barnes & The Soul Mates, the concert promises to be one of the best Christmas parties around.

Jimmy BarnesJimmy Barnes needs no introduction to Aussie audiences. As a legend both from his time fronting Cold Chisel to his top charting solo career, Barnes has toured the breadth of Australia. With 16 solo albums under his belt, he has an enviable back catalogue that makes for incredible live performances with songs like Working Class Man, When Your Love Is Gone and No Second Prize to name a few. Following on from his busy touring schedule with both Cold Chisel and his solo shows, this is a chance for rock fans to see Jimmy Barnes at his best and enjoy an extensive catalogue which has made him an icon in the Australian music scene.

Ian MossAnother legendary member of Cold Chisel joins the special line-up to showcase his own versatile music career. Ian Moss is without doubt one of the country’s most prolific guitarists. His own solo career has seen him release hits such as Telephone Booth and Tucker’s Daughter, as well as traverse the blues rock genre with releases that have seen him become a festival favourite. Ian’s most recent album Soul on West 53rd was a perfect representation of Ian’s skill as a guitarist and vocalist. An unassuming performer, music fans who haven’t seen Ian Moss in concert have missed out on a special experience indeed.

Richard Clapton One of Australia’s most loved singer songwriters Richard Clapton has also been added to this incredible bill. With tracks like Girls on the Avenue, Down in the Lucky Country, I Am An Island, Capricorn Dancer and Glory Road to name a few, Richard is revered for his songwriting nuance. His songs about Australian culture and politics have become ingrained in the local psyche and have an enduring legacy. Richard Clapton is a rock’n’roll icon who is constantly touring and still producing captivating new songs.

Mahalia BarnesKeeping it in the family, Jimmy Barnes’ daughter, and reputed musician in her own right, Mahalia Barnes & The Soul Mates join this special line-up. Mahalia formed her band in the mid-2000s, releasing their debut self-titled EP in 2007. They’ve rigorously toured Australia, playing supports for the likes of US Hip Hop greats The Roots, the legendary Lionel Richie and UK singer James Morrison to name a few. With a few releases under their belt and an ever growing fan base, Mahalia Barnes & The Soul Mates are a collective worth taking notice of.

The 2013 Kinross Christmas Party is the perfect idea for end of year Christmas functions and parties. Get into the festive spirit and grab your tickets to this incredible Aussie concert! Corporate marquees are available by contacting the venue direct. Tickets are on sale now.
