FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – MEDIA RELEASE
Country music powerhouse Jess Holland is hitting the road and heading to Northern Territory for her first ever Top End Road Show tour. The dynamo vocalist has just released the second single Revolving Door off her most recent album Whole Lot To Say and will celebrate with three massive shows in the top end. She will team up with folk-blues four piece Good Corn Liquor where a new set of fans will be introduced to her high energy shows and material off her latest album.
After several tours of the East Coast, Jess is really looking forward to bringing her music to the top end. “It’s actually the first time I have been to Darwin, so I am really excited,” Jess says. “I can’t wait to have a whole new crowd of people listening to my songs. I was approached initially to perform at the Darwin Rodeo, so I decided to extend the trip and include a few more dates; take a good look around before I fly back south.”
Country fans in Darwin can be excited about Jess’s collaboration with Good Corn Liquor, who are well-respected around the Hunter region in NSW. They were finalists in the 2014 Bluesfest Busking Competition and have a unique rustic sound. Jess said the combination ensured punters would get a high-octane live experience. ““It will definitely be unique,” Jess says. “I have an eclectic taste in music, so there will definitely be something for everyone. I enjoy being on stage and my style is loud, wild and exciting!”
The Top End Road Show tour continues Jess Holland’s commitment to pushing her music to all corners of Australia. Since the release of her debut album Introducing Jess Holland she has garnered a swag of followers with radio favourites such as My Kinda Town, Iddy Biddy Pride and Cigarettes & Whiskey. She released her second long player Whole Lot To Say earlier this year with the singles Fine Lines and the recently released Revolving Door set to be winners amongst the crowd in Darwin.
“I would love to road trip my way to the Northern Territory and check out all the sites on the way however time restraints have meant I will be flying up for the tour,” Jess says of her upcoming trip. “I am very keen to see what the top end is like as I’ve heard how beautiful it is. I have mentioned the tour to so many people who have lived or worked or tripped around the area and all reports are nothing but fantastic.”
Jess Holland hasn’t really stopped working since the release of her debut album Introducing… Jess Holland. Throughout her career, she has toured through central, western and northern New South Wales in support of the likes of Luke Dickens, Diesel and Adam Brand. She’s also a two-time Toyota Star Maker finalist and has been earning acclaim from fans and critics alike. If her career trajectory so far is anything to go by, Jess is quickly earning herself the reputation as one of the hardest working independent musicians in the industry today, and she is nowhere near ready to take a rest. She has earned herself a reputation as a fiercely driven, hardworking artist and the long trek to Darwin further rubber stamps this.
