The Wolfe BrothersLast Tasmanian tour dates for the year

The Wolfe Brothers are not a band to slow down and relax. They have just announced that they will be performing their last Tasmanian tour dates for 2015 in June and they have also been added to some of Australia’s leading festivals later in the year. Plus on the same week that their new single was released, they confirmed that their next album will be recorded at the famous Station West Studios in Nashville Tennessee with producer Luke Wooten in November and December this year.

The Wolfe Brothers have just released their third single, Born and Bred, off their second album Nothin’ But Trouble. The first two singles from the album both went to #1 on the charts. This haunting new single is written by the band’s lead singer Nick Wolfe, and the video has received an amazing response from both fans and media with Foxtel’s Country Music Channel declaring the video as their Country Pick Of The Week on its day of release.

"Born and Bred is our tribute to fathers, grandfathers and great grandfathers and the lessons they hand down to their kids,” says Nick Wolfe. “We’ve all lost someone we’ve loved and admired in life, and this song is about remembering their legacy and carrying their memory on as you go forward through your own life. It’s been a song our fans have shown a deep connection to, and we think the new music video has captured the songs sentiment perfectly."

The band shot the video in their home state of Tasmania and the property where the filming took place was in fact where Nick worked as a farm hand a few years ago. The video features some local actors from Hobart with the main character portrayed beautifully by Andrew Casey who is the owner of Hobart’s React Drama School.
Carrying on from their charting successes, The Wolfe Brothers have just been announced to appear at some of Australia’s biggest festivals later this year including the Deniliquin Ute Muster, Sydney Country Music Festival, Mt. Isa Rodeo and the Broadbeach Country Music Festival on the Gold Coast. In addition, they’ve announced a swag of headline dates throughout the country.

“We are very happy with the way things are going for the band at present,” says Tom Wolfe. “Getting on these big festival line-ups like CMC Rocks we get to share the stage with some of the biggest acts in the world. The reception we got from the crowd at CMC Rocks Queensland was awesome and it is an incredible feeling to look out and see 10,000 people singing along with our songs. This is what we dreamed of doing for years and to be living out that dream gets us very motivated to see just how far we can take this. Going to Nashville to record the next album is another dream come true for us all”.

The Wolfe Brothers performance at CMC Rocks Queensland in March was filmed and is currently showing as a special on the Country Music Channel on Foxtel during the month of May. Their performance at CMC was a perfect snapshot of what a live show in the company of The Wolfe Brothers is all about. With their upcoming final tour dates in their home state and a list of other tour dates around the country leading into their trip overseas, the band can’t wait to get back out on the road and do what they do best – rock the house!

“We love working live and can’t wait to hit the road in June with a new show,” says lead guitarist Brodie Rainbird. “The June shows in Tassie will be our last in our home state for a long time so we want them to be extra special. Plans are almost complete for more touring with Lee Kernaghan later in the year so we are all stoked and ready to hit the road again. See you at one of the shows”.
