Three huge party nights – Thursday 20th – Saturday 22nd April 2017 | 9pm Nightly

It’s always a treat when entertainers bring back the golden age of pop music. From Australia’s leading entertainment company Lovegrove Entertainment comes Jersey to Motown, a favourite among corporate events, weddings and parties. Jersey to Motown is a non-stop heart-pounding homage to iconic pop superstars like Franki Valli and the Four Seasons, The Drifters, The Temptations, Jackson 5, Kool and the Gang, Stevie Wonder and the Four Tops to name a few. For three nights this month, the boys from Jersey to Motown will take over BAR36 for an unforgettable party. With an ethos of showcasing music that appeals to a wide range of ages and demographics, BAR36 is continuing to host some of the best local and international acts.

Jersey to Motown has something for everyone, entertaining broad audiences of all age groups. A professional outfit from start to finish, the boys from Jersey to Motown never fail to get people up and dancing, wowing crowds with their gorgeous vocals, fantastic choreographer and pristine charm. Show-stopping highlights and iconic hits include Walk Like A Man, Big Girls Don’t Cry, ABC, Blame It On The Boogie, My Girl, Under The Boardwalk, Celebration, Superstition and Shake Your Tail Feather. Audiences have commended Jersey to Motown for delivering authentic and faithful renditions of glorified, classic American anthems.

Jersey to Motown was produced by Darryl Lovegrove, founder of Lovegrove Entertainment and creator of the 2012 Australian Event Awards ‘Entertainer of the Year’ winner Darryl & Harmony. An experienced keynote speaker, entrepreneur and award-winning performer Darryl is devoted to producing some of the most successful acts in Australasia and Jersey to Motown is only one of his prodigies. Other notable credits on the production include Lorry D’Ercole (The Delinquents, Channel Seven’s Always Greener, ABC Dance Academy), acclaimed choreographer and event producer. Lorry lent his adept choreography skills to Jersey to Motown, expertise that has seen him previously flourish on film, stage, TV, catwalk, corporate and cinema.

The Jersey to Motown boys are no strangers to The Reef Hotel Casino, having performed a sell-out show in the Ballroom in 2016. “Our previous performance at the casino had everyone up and dancing from the first song, and they were still all there by the end of the evening,” says Darryl. “The songs we’ve chosen are crowd pleasers and everyone seems to know the words to all the songs and it’s just such a feel good high energy show. We’re able to take the crowd on a journey through these incredible and iconic songs that everybody knows and loves. It’s a journey back into a certain era that was an extraordinary time in the history of music. We really make an effort to replicate that style of the 50s and 60s, not just in the costuming but in the movements on stage.”

The line-up performing at BAR36 in April will consist of Daniel Belle, Daniel Ross Aguilar, Julian Kuo and Lovegrave himself. “When I put the team together I needed sonically talented young men who were not only able to sing like those tremendous vocalists of the time, but they also needed to move like them,” says Darryl. “It’s actually really hard to find people who can sing and dance to the level that is required.”

Jersey to Motown will bring the party to BAR36 at The Reef Hotel Casino from 20th-22nd April 2017from 9pm nightly. Entertainment continues late with The Rockmans on Friday 21st and The Tall Poppies on Saturday 22nd April 2017*** Live at the Casino shows in BAR36 are non-ticketed shows.
