It is almost time for the second annual Goulburn Valley Country Festival and organisers could not be more excited. The event features a massive line-up headlined by Kasey Chambers and Troy Cassar-Daley, with The Wolfe Brothers, Travis Collins, Adam Harvey, Kaylee Bell, Taylor Moss, and Jayne Denham, and a host of other performers, as well as the total country lifestyle experience, including line-dancing, food trucks, Smokehouse BBQ, market stalls and for the first time ever, an impressive Freestyle Motocross (FMX) showcase.
Organiser Aidan McLaren says everyone involved with the 2023 festival can not wait until Saturday 1st April. “We are thrilled that Goulburn Country Valley Festival is just around the corner,” he said. “In less than two weeks, some of Australia’s biggest country artists will gather in Shepparton for an unforgettable weekend dedicated to everything country. We can’t wait to welcome local country music fans, artists and community to Shepparton Showgrounds very, very soon!”
The Local Country Showcase returns this year and organisers are excited to announce the inclusion of two amazing local Goulburn Valley performers to the festival bill for 2023 – Katie Stroud and Timothy Cannon.
“We are excited to welcome Katie Stroud and Timothy Cannon to our talented line-up, where they will share the stage with some of the biggest names in country music,” said Aidan. “With over 20 impressive applications received, we are thrilled to have selected two exceptionally gifted musicians who celebrate the incredible country music scene in Goulburn Valley. Be sure to arrive early and witness the rise of these local country stars of tomorrow!”
Gates open for the 2023 Goulburn Valley Country Festival at 11am and the event kicks off with a Welcome to Country at 11.25am. The Local Country Showcase performers – Katie Stroud and Timothy Cannon – will be on stage from 11.35am. Live music continues all day, with Kasey Chambers closing out the night from 8.10pm. Music fans are encouraged to get their dancing shoes on and join in the line dancing at 3pm and 4pm, and the Freestyle Motocross (FMX) showcases will run at 5pm and 6.10pm.
There are limited tickets still available for the Goulburn Valley Country Festival. It promises to be a day jam-packed full of country fun!
