    Get ready Cairns – Swing Social Sunday is coming to BAR36 at The Reef Hotel Casino… and it is going to be huge! Sydney’s Electro Alley are keeping the massive weekend of music grooving as they bring their swanky style to the North for one night of Electro Swing. Following on from three huge nights of music across May 31 – June 1, featuring Sydney’s ‘Prince Of Soul’ Josué Vilches on the Thursday and Friday night, and indie-pop sensations Pirra on the Friday and Saturday.

    It is no surprise that Electro Alley have garnered such a phenomenal reputation in their home city of Sydney. The band features the core of Pirra, one of the hottest bands on the touring circuit today. With Jess Beck on vocals, James McKendry on gypsy guitar, and twin brothers Curtis and Jeffrey Argent on bass and drums respectively, joined by Simon Ranguis on violin and Kurt Mikolajczyk on horns, the band are acclaimed for their high energy dance music.

    Embracing the international genre of Electro Swing, Electro Alley have mixed their passion for swing, gypsy jazz and EDM into jazz improvisations meet electric dance. The result is toe-tappingly good and guaranteed to encourage all music-lovers to shake their stuff. Technically exciting, dynamic and catchy, their songs feature jazzy hooks, bouncy beats and pop arrangements with bring a spontaneous atmosphere to their live shows.

    Melbourne’s DJ Mr Manifold is a crowd-favourite for his funky swinging beats. Showcasing styles of Ghetto Funk, swing bass, funky beats, Bass-Hop and Electro Swing, he is a formidable force on the DJ circuit. Ashcats SoundSystem also bring out the best of Electro Swing Steampunk, with a mix of Balkan, Gypsy and DNB.

    Swing Social Sunday kicks off on Sunday 2nd June 2019 from 6.30pm. Entertainment kicks off with Melbourne ElectroSwing DJ Mr Manifold and the revered Ashcats SoundSystem, before the dynamic Electro Alley take to the stage. The music continues til late thanks to the guest DJs.
