Singer-songwriter Tullara is considered one of the country’s brightest up-and-coming stars, and rightfully so. Her single Too Many turned heads Australia-wide and made fans and critics alike take note of her earthy tone and intricate guitar playing. Now, for two nights only, Tullara is bringing her hauntingly beautiful original compositions to BAR36 at The Reef Hotel Casino and audiences are in for a treat.

Her debut single Too Many, released in 2016, turned heads for the performer, formerly half of the renowned folk-roots duo Siskin River, and highlighted her versatility as a musician. Her subsequent debut EP release scored her the Best EP accolade at the 2017 Australian Roots Music Awards and has seen her perform at some of the biggest Australian festivals, including Woodford Folk Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival and Bendigo Blues & Roots Festival to name a few.

It isn’t just music fans who have been enamoured by this singer-songwriter either. She has shared the stage with the likes of international artists such as Wallis Bird and The East Pointers, as well as local legends Jeff Lang, Mia Dyson, Troy Cassar-Daley and The Waifs. This New South Wales homegrown talent is turning heads wherever she goes and for good reason, her music is pure – led by life experience and passion – and her guitar skills border on virtuoso.

With artists such as John Butler impressive with her guitar-playing prowess – saying she has a ‘way with that guitar’ – a live show in her company is a must to see. Her percussive finger tapping and guitar playing mixed in with her raw style is breathtaking and unforgettable.

No stranger to performing, Tullara – along with sister Shalane – toured extensively under the guise of Siskin River. The Connors sisters launched their duo in December 2011 and took the road, literally, living out of the back of their rusty wagon, earning their musical stripes along the way. Their earthy harmonies and bluesy folk style earned them acclaimed throughout the country. Its no surprise then that Tullara’s solo venture would be met with equal rapture – she is certainly one very talented musician.

Tullara performs from 8pm nightly on Thursday 23rd August and Saturday 25th August 2018. The entertainment continues on Thursday night with Kaweyova and on Saturday night with The Tall Poppies.  *** Live at the Casino shows in BAR36 are non-ticketed shows.
